What does MiLHO stand for?

MiLHO stands for the Missing Link to Improved Health Outcomes.

Who should take a MiLHO course?

The course can be taken by any healthcare practitioner who treats patients in the course’s disease areas. The courses are ideal for general healthcare practitioners in the primary care setting.

How can I access a course?

You can access a course by creating an account. You will be prompted to set up an account during the first sign-in process. Once you have logged in, you can create your profile and upload a photo of yourself.

What is the time commitment to complete a course?

All courses are self-directed. The content is presented in short lessons of 8 to 15 minutes. You can choose how long you spend on each lesson, stop when you want and continue when you choose. Your progress will be saved.


How do I register for a course?

After creating an account, select the course from the menu of available courses. If the course is FREE or a portion is FREE, it will be indicated as “Free,” or the free part will have an open padlock icon. Click on Use a Credit Card next to the course price for paid courses or paid portions of a course. Then, follow the prompts to complete the payment.

What can I expect after I’ve registered for a course?

You will receive a confirmation email after your payment for a paid course. The email will prompt you to login to access the course. Check your email, including the spam folder.

Can I access a course as a group registration?

At this time, courses are intended for individual learners and will require separate registration.

How long does the course take to complete?

Each lesson in the course indicates the approximate time to complete the text-based portion and varies in length from 8 to 15 minutes. The entire course can be completed in approximately one hour. Watching the videos included in some parts of the course are optional.

What are the technology requirements for the course?

You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone, a high-speed internet connection, a web browser, and access to email.

After I register, how long can I access the course?

Once you have registered, you can access the course for as long as you need to.

How will I measure my progress?

You will take a pretest before your start the course. At the end of the course, you will take a posttest. You can compare your pretest and posttest score to get an indication of your progress.

In addition, there are progress check quizzes at the end of lessons. These quizzes are designed to reinforce the content presented.

What certification does the course have?

The courses are CPD certified by the United Kingdom CPD Certification Service.


How much does a course cost?

The cost of a course is displayed at the top of the course home page. If a course shows an open padlock
next to a lesson, there is no cost to take that lesson.

When do I pay for a course?

For paid courses, payment is made at the time of registration. Be sure to check with your bank or your
credit card company because your financial institution may charge a foreign transaction fee.

What if my payment did not go through?

Contact your financial institution. You may need additional permissions to be able to complete the
payment. Also, be sure to have a strong internet connection and an up-to-date browser.

What are acceptable payment methods?

You can choose from the following payment options:
